BID COMMITTEES

We provide training of Bid Committee Members – Bid Specification, Bid Evaluation and Bid Adjudication. Also the updated Procurement Regulations effective from 2017 and any other recent updates by National Treasury on SCM and procurement regulations and guidelines.

To build the capacity of public service bid committee members who serve on bid specification, evaluation and adjudication committees as well as Supply Chain Management practitioners who are responsible for support functions of the Bid Committee system.

Duration: 5 Days

TIME MANAGEMENT

This interactive one-day leadership skills course will enable participants to review their own management leadership styles, identify what works well for them and the people they lead and what they want to continue, change and develop.

EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATIONS

To enable participants to communicate clearly and with impact, by improving their verbal and non-verbal communication style, as well as enhancing interpersonal skills. Communicating effectively will soon seem effortless.

TELEPHONE ETIQUETTE

The course provides practical call handling training, teaching participants’ telephone techniques and skills to confidently answer calls, as well as how to constructively respond to customer telephone enquiries and handle customer complaints.

PRESENTATION SKILLS

Presentation skills course will improve participants’ public speaking skills and knowledge. The training includes effective presentation techniques to enable delegates to present professionally and confidently, as well as engage well with the audience. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to make three short presentations and will receive feedback on their current presentation style, as well as ideas to enhance their delivery.

CUSTOMER SERVICES

The Customer Service course is focused on delegates to become more professional and effective in the way they handle both face to face and telephone service when dealing with internal and external customers. They will understand the impact on them and their organisation of providing the best possible service learning to communicate with customer’s in a professional and effective manner.

SALES AND MARKETING

The Course in Sales and Marketing recognizes the vital importance of this function and has been designed to give a broad understanding of marketing. At the same time, students acquire selling skills and techniques, which are essential in order to be successful in this field. The course is designed for a person who wants to understand the impact of marketing on every part of the business.

HEALTH AND SAFETY TRAININGS

INCIDENT MANAGEMENT

Incident Management Training is designed to assist and teach teams the essential skills and techniques required for managing an incident effectively thereby ensuring that it is successfully resolved.

DANGEROUS GOODS HANDLING AND AWARENESS

Trainees will be able to identify hazardous substances by product classifications and apply the required handling procedure to each. They will understand the risks involved when dealing with hazardous substances, the responsibility of the employer and employee to reduce those risks, and the procedures to follow when dealing with exposure

FIRE FIGHTING LEVEL2

South African legislation requires that a sufficient amount of employees per building be trained in basic firefighting. RIA’s firefighting training courses are aimed at teaching basic firefighting skills to minimise loss of life and property, by extinguishing fires in their early stages. It is the perfect course, for any organisation.

OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY

The Occupational Health & Safety Act 85 of 1993 is legislation approved by the Department of Labour which assists organizations with a set law. This law provides a set of rules and regulations that every employer must subscribe to with their workplace. Failure to comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993 (OHSA) is a criminal offence for both employers and employees.

FIRST AID LEVEL1-3

First aid is an invaluable skill that can save lives in both the workplace and the domestic environment. RIA provide theoretical information and the practical skills required to manage an emergency. First aid level 3 is a comprehensive first aid training covers information learnt in both the introductory first aid level 1 courses and workplace based first aid level 2 courses, and delves further into the provision of emergency care. Duration: 5 Days

HIV AWARENESS

This course has been developed to enable staff members or trainers who are interested in HIV/AIDS to spearhead the growth of awareness within their respective organisations. Educators are encouraged to create safe and trustworthy contexts within which people infected or affected by HIV can find help and direction.

The course covers the skills and knowledge needed to be an effective educator and provide support to individuals who may be influenced directly by this disease.

Duration: 1 Day

EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE
